The book containing works of Feride Dayanç, who introduced a contemporary approach to marbling art, was prepared by The Association of Traditional Arts in 2015.
“Ottoman Florists and Flowers” book was prepared by The Association of Traditional Arts and it is a compilation of 9 manuscripts called “şükufenâme”, each penned in different periods during Ottoman Empire. This book was a valuable contribution to our cultural heritage, thanks to the vigorous works of Researcher Dr. Seyit Ali Kahraman. Prof. Dr. Nurhan Atasoy, a doyen in arts history, contributed to this book as an advisor. The book received a great interest from traditional arts lovers.
The Association of Traditional Arts, organized “The International Meeting for the Art of Binding” between November 29th - December 8th, 2012. Within the ten days activities, a two-day symposium, three exhibitions, four workshop meetings and the 5th Silver Tulip Contest were organized.
By collecting the visual and textual contents of the event which received a great interest by the audience, a book of two volumes was prepared as a source of reference for artists, researchers and academicians in this area.
“The Masters of Istanbul” Project was organized by The Association of Traditional Arts and Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency. Within the framework of this project a book containing profile information and communication details of artists working in traditional arts was prepared. A map was prepared as an addition to the book, showing the location information of workshops of the artists.
The Illumination Meeting was organized by The Association of Traditional Arts between 24-30 April 2009 with the attendance of experts and artists. The event included a symposium, an exhibition, workshop sessions and commemoration programs. The meeting contained an exhibition where the artists' works were exhibited, workshop meetings in which they shared their experiences, and a commemorative meeting devoted to deceased artists. All the presentations and visuals of the works were published in a book.
