The Traditional Arts Association, within the scope of “Fidelity to Tradition” programs for the purpose of commemorating the masters who contributed greatly to the promotion and development of these arts through their work in the field of traditional arts, commemorated Mustafa Düzgünman who contributed greatly to the Turkish marbling art.
Within the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s GENÇDES Program, The Association of Traditional Arts actualized the "Today's Youth are Tomorrow's Masters" project. On December 13th, 2016, "The Copyright Training Workshop" was the first organization of the project which was constituted of a workshop, a symposium, an exhibition and a web site.
On April 30th, 2016, with the contribution of Istanbul Culture and Tourism Directorate, The Association of Traditional Arts organized a publicity meeting for a book presentation to Selçuk Mülayim with his own attendance at Beyazıt State Library.
The Association of Traditional Arts organized a publicity meeting for a gift book attributed to Prof. Dr. Nurhan Atasoy. Her students and friends from Turkey and abroad, as well as notable figures from the artistic and academic community joined the meeting. The gift book, which contained a collection from the articles penned by Atasoy’s students and friends in the field of art history, was published by Lale Publishing House.
There were past masters who left us yet were able to grant the traditional art field great works, cultivate many artists and notably contribute to the development and direction of these arts. Both to introduce them to the coming generations and to pay our debt towards them, we have organized a series of activities where we commemorated Dist. Prof. Dr. Süheyl Ünver and Füsun Arıkan in the first two of these series of activities.
